How To Put A Stranglehold On Any Chaos In Your Business

Posted on 20. Mar, 2013 by in Archived Post, Character Counts

There are a lot of different things that you have to deal with in life, especially as an adult. You may be dealing with this reality on a daily basis such as getting up to go to work, going to school, dealing with difficult personalities and such. You might know the feeling all too well, the importance of responsibility comes knocking at your door every morning and you have to get things done in order to live or survive. Without responsibilities, priorities and order, chaos reigns supreme.

When you’re a child you don’t have to deal with all the things that you have to deal with as an adult. Sure, there are a lot of hard moments for children, going to school, bullies, and dealing with the adolescent changes, puberty, and more – and, yes, those things can be difficult.  Yet, the role of responsibility at that age is either misunderstood or simply not taken seriously. Those that are driven by excellence at that age have a rather good grasp of the importance of excellence at may have a better chance of succeeding in life.

To get your passive income business on the road to success, you’ll need to establish discipline early on. You will need to set up your daily routine and complete it without excuses. Developing the right attitude in the early stages will certainly help you in the long run.  Establishing roots in responsibility and discipline will create a life raft when the tides rise. It’s these two working hand in hand that will help keep chaos at bay.

Think about it for a moment…..think about those that are successful in life. What do they have in common? A “make-it-happen” attitude is one characteristic. They find ways to get a task done. They push themselves to do what needs to be done each and every day even if it means going the extra mile. They want to excel in whatever they do. From communication with customers or suppliers, marketing, web design, social media and on, they do it with excellence and the produce positive results. Meaning the will finish whatever task lies before them. And, going forward, you will do the same.

At this point you should be thinking about the importance of responsibility. It creates opportunities that will allow you to fulfill your dreams.  If you want to fulfill your passive income dreams, be wealthy, and love self-employment, it will start with understanding how to be responsible and with that, making sure that discipline and order are major components of your life. With a heavy dose of self-discipline, you can push forward through any walls and make things happen that would normally be very difficult to manage and complete.

Next Steps:

Regardless of how difficult a task may be, don’t give up. Sometimes you need to be creative in getting things done. Ask a friend or mentor for insight regarding how to complete a task….get fresh ideas. Hang in there….don’t give up. If it’s a new skill that you need to obtain to get the job done…learn it or pull in someone with that skill or skill set.

I always told my friend, who’s also my illustrator in my online light novels, to scold me whenever I grow bored of writing. Some sort of safety net should be established if you want to earn online, or just any kind of work. Giving up is easy but you’ll come to regret later what you missed when you gave up.

That’s so true….giving up may appear to be the best route to take when things get tough, but you will certainly come to regret the “what may have been’s”.

I am the queen of coming up with excuses and procrastinating, which is not a good habit to have at all when trying to be self-employed. Luckily, I have a best friend who keeps me on track – just the other day he told me “if you want to write, then that’s what you need do to. Stop SAYING that’s what you want to do, just DO IT already. Stop procrastinating.” He was right and since that night, I have been on top of my assignments much more than I previously was.

I seem to take on too much at a time and I can’t seem to get my daily schedule in order. Any advice for trying to establish a daily schedule?

      Hi Alissa!

What I do is I set up a schedule on my phone and organize them according to priority and time. My phone vibrates every time an appointment comes up, at least an hour before so I can get ready and then 15 minutes before. But I only use this on weekdays. Have to unwind during the weekends! 😀

Good idea….a to-do app on your phone can be very helpful. I also try to stay away from my phone on the weekend. Most of that time is dedicated to my family….

Alissa, I use Wunderlist.com (or Wunderlist app) to help with developing my daily schedule. It’s a beautifully-designed, minimalist app that simplifies task management. You can sync it over the cloud and use it amongst many devices (i.e. iOS, Android). Check it out….

Yes….I believe it is the same company. Although, I use the web-based app whereas the site you listed appears to have the downloadable version.

I was able to find the app in the Google Play store and I was able to get the website… maybe the site was having technical difficulties when you tried it earlier? I’m going to try that out and see if it helps.

I think the most difficult thing about this is that an online business, by definition, has to be on the internet. The internet is a multi-dimensional, dynamic, stimulating medium. It’s very nature is to draw you in and get you interested in as many things as possible.

This can be incredibly helpful as well as a huge time waste. Responsibility, and perseverance are crucial to staying on track and getting business off the ground.

For sure Mike, I really struggle with staying on track on the internet too! I find emails and facebook really allure me. Next thing I know I’m looking at ridiculous cat pictures and chatting to long lost friends. Lovely, yet definitely not productive!
