“The results described here are my own and, therefore, are not typical. Individual results may vary based on a variety of factors.”

Hopefully, these income reports will help motivate and encourage you while you build your passive income streams. They show that you can recover from any pothole on the road to passive income success. Please note the monthly numbers have been adjusted to reflect ANY refunds and expenses thereby leaving only my net profit.

Let’s review Decembers’ income:

Amazon Sales

You will notice that my Amazon “Total Orders” took a dip again, but overall revenue and profit went up from last month which was a result of  selling higher-priced items. Even though the higher priced items did push my expenses up, my profit margin for those items is substantial, so I can absorb the cost with relative ease. If you are planning to sell on Amazon and/or Ebay, you need to have a nice mix of low and high profit items. Well, preferably, you would want to keep the low profit items to a minimum with the hopes of generating a higher sales volume.

December 2013 Amazon Sales Revenue: $1423.33 (Amazon Total Sales – numbers rounded up to the nearest dollar)
December 2013 Total Cost/Expenses: $483 (simply put, for now, this my cost for products, packaging, shipping, business-related purchases and any)
December 2013 Amazon Sales Net Profit: $940.33 (up from last month)

Below, you will see my upcoming January deposits from Amazon:

There were sixty-nine (69) total orders for the month of December, therefore:

Total Orders = 69 orders (down 3 from November)
$943 (Total Net Profit)/ 69 orders = $13.63 per order (up from November)

Amazon Affiliate Commissions

My Amazon Affiliate commissions for December jumped quite a bit from November and could have been higher had Amazon shipped all of the orders prior to January 1st. This was due to the holiday shopping season and I due expect my sales to drop some in January.  In December, my total commissions were around $231.56. I received a commission from a sale tied to one of my new sites. That’s exciting as I have not completed any off-page SEO work on any of the four sites and do not plan on doing so for at least another month or two. Just letting the sites “marinade” for a bit….

Now, here is what I earned from my niche site, portableswasherdryercombo.com:

Amazon Items Shipped = 61 (up from November)
Amazon Commissions = $231.56 (up from November)

Adsense Earnings = $26.84 (down from November)

Total December Earnings From Niche Site = $258.40 (up from November)

Let’s combine them all:

Total Amazon Sales Profit = $943
Total Amazon Commissions = $231.56
Total Adsense Earnings = $26.84
*Total VA Expense and SEO Expenses = $270
Total November Profit = $931.40

$931.40/690 minutes total (11.5hrs.) = $80.99 per hour (up from last month)

*VA’s (Virtual Assistants) have been helping me with my social media plan while I’ve brought in an SEO team to help with my niche sites and other sites I’m currently working on.

How do you decide what topic to do your niche sites on? Do you write all of your own articles? Make your own videos?
