I disagree with what you said at the end of the podcast, you said that character has absolutely nothing to do with making passive income online…. I think your character does make a difference to whether or not you are successful making passive income. Like you said, if you have character flaws, you run the risk of getting into trouble and possibly getting a selling account suspended. If your character is seriously flawed, you could even end up on the wrong side of the law for whatever you’ve done…. I think it is very important to build your character before starting your online business.

Alissa, I agree with you completely. Character shines through online, even in terms of making passive income. In my opinion, your character determines how you respond to issues that arise and how you handle yourself, both which can have a big influence on your success.

Hi Alissa, the point that I was trying to make at that particular time is the separation of character and passive income. I wanted everyone to focus on character at that moment. Now, I should have worded it differently as I can see how it could be perceived as me saying character has no impact on running a successful business when it absolutely does – and that was the emphasis in my podcast. And you are right when you say that one could end up on the wrong side of the law due to character flaws.

Great podcast thanks. I’d love to see your own example of what you wrote down and how you dealt with it.

The four steps in building your character are really great. I understood that you only meant the character has a whole when you said on the last part “even though it has absolutely nothing with making passive income”. And you’re right, character does count in this world. Without integrity, there’s no way for you to be successful. I mean, yes, you can be successful in terms of money and all that, but these things don’t come without a price, so it’s better to just improve your character issues before it’s too late.

One mistake every person makes is to keep looking back on the things they did wrong in the past. To live in regret and what ifs is not the best way to live at all. You are absolutely right when you say move on. If you did have character issues in the past and you turned around and made them right, it’s time to let it go. There’s no point looking over your shoulder unless you want to go back.

It just isn’t worth it to do things the wrong way. Greed is a powerful thing, but it should really just take learning from others mistakes to keep you from making those mistakes.

Being bold is great advice. Being passive and being a people pleaser can weaken your overall integrity. There are always people on the news facing charges for stealing money from their jobs– not because they’re greedy, but because they thought it a better alternative to asking for help, or being honest with their spouse about their financial situation.
