With just starting out, did the return policy complicate things? Or do you think it made you more successful because customers felt more comfortable purchasing your products.

I sell on Amazon and you NEED a return policy to be competitive, whether you are just starting out or not. I know a lot of people who won’t buy from vendors because they have a cr*ppy return policy. It is essential when selling online, since people can’t actually hold the merch in their hands before buying!

Long-term commitments are probably my biggest fear. I move around a lot and don’t want to set up anything too local.

$145 start-up costs? You’re right Dave, I can actually get started today.

Running a business is almost impossible while working your day job! I simply run a blog and I find it difficult to keep up.

Just hold on. I try to keep in mind that the day job is just a means to an end.

@ArtsyCarly – I totally understand! I’m trying to take care of my family, work my day job, run two blogs, write and sell online. Crazy, I know.

I’m going to have to think of ways to separate myself from my competitors. It’s probably not going to be wonderful customer service at this point, since I seem to hardly have time to keep up with everything…. Maybe cheaper prices? Or bundles?
