Your Vision – See It, Say It, Do It

Your Vision – See It, Say It, Do It

When it comes to trying to do anything in life, you have to have a plan of action. You cannot be a nomad in terms of your career or path to success without having a vision tied to a blueprint that will help guide you through the “potholes” of life. Crossing through the many different potholes will cause you growing pains that can and will be rough, but with a clear vision and detailed blueprint, you might be able to navigate away from the potholes and reach your destiny. Therefore it’s important for you to understand in seeing ahead (See It) and setting goals. The importance of vision relies heavily on seeing what you want to accomplish and then chasing it with everything you’ve got.

You might not know how and where to get started, but it’s really just a matter of taking a few moments from your busy schedule and looking ahead of your life six months, a year, a few years, and ten years (this goes beyond just a business as it applies to every area of your life). You don’t need to make unrealistic goals, but think seriously about where you want to be at some point in the future. It can be outlandish, it can be strange, but if you consider where you want to go and keep it in your frame of sight, you will be able to move forward better.

It has been said in the past by many that without a vision, people perish. This common goal for society as a whole can be a great unifying element, but when you place it within the realms of your family and more specifically to your daily life, you will see that it can have a major impact on your personal life. The journey that you will need to take requires a destination, and without stepping forward you can’t get there. Even if you don’t have a straight line to the end, at least you have a place to go to that will allow you to rise to the occasion.

Make sure that you go towards life in a new way, start with a quest to fine-tune your vision and keep that in your view at all times. Whether you need to put a photograph on your fridge, in your wallet, or something of that nature, make sure that you remind yourself what the end result of your plans are.

Then, start saying what you see. Say It aloud…..say it day and night. Find others that can see your vision as well and are willing to speak to you what they see. Get that vision engrained in your mind.

Some people have a hard time with all of this, and if that sounds like you, and you struggle with figuring out your place, that’s ok, because the place that you’re in right now is not where you will end up in year’s time. If you stay stagnant, then yes, you will be in the same place, but if you take a moment to seek a goal, and have a vision of something better, Do It. Chasing it might not get you there, but you might run into a new place, something that changes that dream and makes something better a reality. The number one thing to remember is this; you can’t win if you don’t even try. Think about that and then make it a point to change things up a bit for your life.

Next Step: Sit down and write out your vision. Just let your what you see flow through you and onto the paper – don’t over complicate it. Then speak your vision out and try to make a habit of of doing that once a day or at least three times a week.

It’s quite effective actually. When I was still in the beginnings of my blogging, I never got anything done until I resolved to see it through. Seeing it prospectively really helps motivation a lot.

“If I do this now, just think of what I could achieve in the future.”

That way of thinking really matters.

One day, I wrote down what my ideal day looked like and noted exactly what happened, how I was feeling, etc. Then I wrote down what I need to do to get myself to that ideal day. Every day, I read it to remind myself why I’m putting all the time in now.

Wow! I really enjoyed this article. I need to sit down an write out ALL of my goals for the projects I am working on. I tried to make a psuedo business plan, but I haven’t revisited it in about a month. I’m pretty sure in an earlier comment somewhere I said I was going to go back and revise it, but I still haven’t done it! It just seems like I never have time….

    Alissa-

Just do it. MAKE the time to sit down and formulate a plan. Like Dave says in the article, if you don’t take action you run the risk of being in this exact same place next year. If you make yourself move forward, you will either end up fulfilling your vision you see for yourself or find yourself with a new vision. You will never move forward if you don’t make those first steps! At least, that’s what I took from this article. I just sat down tonight and worked on a plan of action. I am sincerely trying to make my dreams a reality and I know this is the only way I’m going to achieve my goals.

I understand that I need to “just do it”, I just don’t seem to have enough time in the day…

Alissa, don’t feel bad – I also need to find the time to “just do it”. I need to make it a priority but it hasn’t happened yet.

My ultimate dream vision is to be a free lance writer/travel blogger and to base myself in various countries such as Mexico and India. I may not earn as much if I was at home (NZ) but life is cheaper in those countries so hopefully I can save a solid amount to get into investment properties later.

This is my vision as it is an adventure, puts me out of my comfort zone, enables me to experience culture and allows for economic growth. I don’t want to just go travelling and come back home when I’ve run out of money. I want to always be building on my life.

People often think this plan is outlandish and can be discouraging. However others have done it so I believe I can do it too.

    What’s everyone else’s dream visions??

My dream vision is just to have a decent amount of passive income coming in that I can have more freedom than I do currently. An amazon store I find really appealing as they have the wharehouse option. However I’m not sure what kind of product I should sell…

Mike, have a look at the products around you that you think your area might be good in and have demands in other parts of the glob.

You’re right Dave, it doesn’t matter if the line is not straight once you get to the end. Even though your journey had a lot of twists and turns, what’s important is you got there. You know what they say, it’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey. In most cases, that is right. You may have one, solid goal but once you started your journey, you might find something you want more, and end up doing exactly that.
